The Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of complex digital transformation programmes within the UK public sector.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong business analysis expertise with a solid technical understanding. You'll work closely with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and delivery teams to shape requirements, support solution design, and ensure business needs are translated into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities

- Produce high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation using INVEST principles.
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and product teams to define solution requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to understand business needs and desired outcomes.
- Support technical solution design by translating business requirements into structured technical outputs.
- Develop process maps, data flows, and supporting documentation where required.
- Analyse existing systems, integrations, and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with technical teams to define functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
- Support Agile delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle using Jira and Confluence.
- Bridge the gap between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding throughout delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
