SELLNIK is an early stage start-up building an online auction platform for real estate agents to help get their listings under offers / sold.
Role Description
The Technical Co-Founder / CTO will lead SELLNIK’s overall technology strategy, architecture, and implementation in a full-time, on-site role. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining the technical roadmap, making key decisions on stack and infrastructure, and building the core product platform with an emphasis on scalability, security, and performance. The role involves hands-on software development, reviewing code, setting engineering standards, and establishing development processes and best practices. This person will collaborate closely with business and product stakeholders on feature prioritization, oversee integrations with third-party tools and services, and ensure robust data management and analytics capabilities. Additional responsibilities include forming and leading the engineering team, mentoring developers, managing technical partnerships, and contributing to fundraising and investor discussions as a technical representative of the company.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Research abilities to inform product decisions, architecture choices, and data-driven experimentation.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing awareness to align technical solutions with go-to-market strategies, customer needs, and revenue goals.
- Candidates should possess proven experience in software engineering, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Candidates should possess capability in building and scaling web applications or SaaS platforms, including security, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Candidates should possess experience leading or mentoring engineering teams, establishing development processes, and working in startup or early-stage environments.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with modern development practices (CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps) and version control tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
