Technical Coach
As a Technical Coach, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes that give every learner the knowledge, support and guidance they need to succeed. Working closely with the Head of Training, you'll deliver engaging learning experiences, develop curriculum content and ensure every stage of the learner journey is delivered to the highest standard.
This is a varied role that combines coaching, training delivery, curriculum development and learner support. You'll manage your own caseload of apprentices, delivering training, workshops and progress reviews while ensuring learners remain on track and receive the support they need throughout their apprenticeship.
Alongside delivery, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate learner records, marking assessments, supporting English, maths and digital skills development, and ensuring programmes are delivered in line with DfE funding rules, Ofsted requirements and internal quality standards.
You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of our apprenticeship offering, working with the wider Academy team to enhance curriculum content, support employer engagement and continuously improve the learner experience.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality learning experiences and supporting learners to achieve their full potential. You'll be organised, engaging and confident managing multiple priorities, with experience delivering apprenticeships within a regulated environment.
Essential
- 3+ years' experience working in a technical or training/coaching role.
- Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes and working within Ofsted and DfE frameworks.
- Experience conducting progress reviews and managing a learner caseload within a regulated apprenticeship environment.
- Experience marking assessed work and providing clear, constructive written feedback within defined timescales.
- A strong understanding of DfE funding rules, apprenticeship standards and off-the-job training requirements.
- Expertise within a technology discipline, particularly those aligned to business growth areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence delivering engaging training and presentations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a caseload of up to 40 learners.
- Experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Iโm in my final year doing Economics and I donโt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer โ it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donโt need a masters. Letโs look at the ones youโd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
