Opportunity

We have a new opportunity for a Technical Compliance Lead to join our team, based in Scotland, working 37.5 hours per week on a 2-year FTC.

Role Responsibilities

As our Technical Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • The management and monitoring of environmental systems, procedures, and systems of work at a regional level.
  • Maintaining compliance with Viridor environmental permits, licenses, and relevant management systems.
  • Implementing policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality-led environment with safety at its core.
  • Actively monitoring, maintaining, and managing environmental monitoring and reporting to ensure best practice and avoidance of incidents and permit non-compliance.
  • Supporting the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring a no-compromise approach with regards to environmental compliance at all times.

Requirements

  • A hands-on environmental professional with experience in industrial settings.
  • Experience of an energy from waste facility would be advantageous and preferable.
  • Relevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance-focused environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and influence a team.
  • Able to work with the Management Teams to embed a compliance-focused culture within complex workplaces.
  • Experience of permitted/regulated activities and processes within controlled emissions environments.
  • Knowledge of BS14181 Quality Assurance is preferable.
  • Knowledge of the energy from waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledge.
