£35,000-£40,000 dependant on experience
Overview of the Role
Performing technical reviews on client food safety technical reports undertaken by our Auditors at sites associated with the manufacture or storage of food. These are undertaken to assess the compliance of the site against the scheme requirements and ensure the Auditor has provided robust notes to allow for certification.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth reviews on completed audit reports.
- Ensure scheme owner, stakeholder and certification body procedures, protocols, and policies are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure the technical content of the audit report, including the scope of certification, exclusions, and non-applicable clauses, are accurate.
- Review of non-conformances raised during the audit, along with close-out, and ensure they meet scheme requirements and protocols.
- Complete the associated documentation when completing the technical review process.
- Correspond with the auditor and, where required, the client in respect to information detailed within the audit report where necessary, including corrective action evidence.
- Communicate with the administration and management team where required for client-specific information.
- Decline any involvement with a client to which there is or may be a conflict of interest.
- Attend training and calibration sessions where required.

Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with the review and decision making of appeals and complaints received from clients, scheme owners, or other parties upon request.
- Undertake a technical review of submitted recalls and food safety incidents.
- Technical review of cases where certification is suspended, withdrawn, or reduced.
- Undertake a technical review of internal and external witness audit reports.
- Completion of internal audits and provide assistance with external audits of the certification body as required.
What we are looking for
- Experience in an administrative position.
- A technical mindset with strong organizational skills.
- High level of literacy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of BRCGS Standards or Food Safety/GFSI certification schemes.
- Experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
