Senior Technical Consultant, Bristol
Senior Technical Consultant for a Bristol-based software consultancy that builds bespoke systems for ambitious clients across a range of sectors.
What sets them apart is their commitment to social impact. Through their charity foundation they donate 10% of profits to local causes and invest significant pro-bono engineering work into community projects. The work is genuinely varied and interesting, and they take a tech-agnostic approach backed by quarterly Innovation Days to explore emerging technology including AI.
This is a client-facing, consultancy-led role. You’ll lead technical pre-sales engagements, shape and define solutions, run discovery and assessment work, and act as a trusted advisor to clients at a senior level working alongside delivery leads to ensure what gets pitched can actually get built.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
