Technical Consultant
Technical Consultant – Huddersfield (Onsite, £90k DOE)
This is a truly exciting opportunity to join a specialist technology consultancy delivering advanced software engineering, systems design, and technical assurance services to Defence and National Security organisations across the UK. Working on mission-critical programmes, you'll collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers to design, develop, and deploy secure, high-performance software solutions that play a vital role in supporting the UK’s national security objectives.

{Responsibilities}
- Designing, developing, and deploying software solutions for Defence and National Security clients.
- Working across the full lifecycle, from requirements capture and solution design, through to deployment and operational support.
- Leading technical discussions, conducting design reviews, and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery success.
- Producing high-quality technical documentation, presenting solutions clearly, and supporting verification, validation, and compliance activities.

- Strong software engineering background with Java, and exposure to Python and Bash scripting.
- Experience building applications in Linux environments, including distributed systems and data processing platforms.
- An understanding of secure system design, authentication mechanisms, and information assurance principles.
- Ability to gather and interpret client requirements and translate them into robust, scalable technical solutions.
Benefits
- Salary: £90,000 (DOE)
- 6% employer pension contribution
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with the option to buy 5 additional days)
