Technical Content Manager

About the Role

At the heart of The National Lottery, you will play a critical role bridging Product, Technology, and Content Operations. As the Technical Content Manager, you will ensure that all digital content across web and app platforms is accurately built, tested, and delivered.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Implementing interactive content within the CMS
  • Translating business and product requirements into scalable, compliant, and user-centric content experiences
  • Acting as a bridge between development teams and content operations, ensuring seamless delivery
  • Working within agile, cross-functional teams to align content with customer needs and regulatory standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements and user needs into detailed technical content specifications
  • Configure and implement interactive content in the CMS across web and mobile platforms
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and readiness for all content releases
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, CMS Devs, QA and PMO teams during sprint cycles
  • Serve as a content solution design advisor during sprint planning and development
  • Manage multiple content workstreams, including planning, prioritisation, and delivery tracking
  • Maintain and manage content documentation backlog and content models
  • Identify and resolve content issues quickly, improving processes and standards
  • Ensure accessibility standards, brand guidelines, and regulatory compliance are met
  • Support BAU teams through handovers, documentation, and training
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in content operations, tooling, and governance

Experience We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience with Content Management Systems in a complex digital environment
  • Strong understanding of digital content delivery across web and mobile platforms
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning and delivery
  • Ability to translate business and product requirements into technical content solutions
  • Working knowledge of HTML and front-end content structures
  • Understanding of SEO principles and web accessibility (WCAG Standards)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail, with strong proofreading and content QA skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience in product delivery, testing, and release cycles
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions-oriented improvements
