Technical Coordinator – Bury St Edmunds (Higham), Suffolk

Where Will You Be Working?
At M Group Energy, we provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV callouts, metering, and home decarbonisation. Based at our Bury St Edmunds (Higham) office in Suffolk, you’ll be joining Aran, part of M Group Energy—an industry-leading provider of retrofit and energy efficiency solutions.
With a strong reputation for quality and delivery, Aran is focused on raising standards across installation projects while improving the comfort, cost of living, and sustainability of UK homes.
⚠️ Office Details: The location is a rural village a few miles outside Bury St Edmunds, with no public transport access. You must have a reliable way to travel to and from the office (as this is a fully office-based role, with no hybrid working on offer).
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Technical Coordinator, you’ll play a key coordination role in supporting the compliant delivery of in-house energy efficiency projects—from survey stage through to installation. Your responsibilities include ensuring projects meet regulatory and PAS standards, while maintaining clear communication across operational teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing survey data and producing installation-ready documentation
- Creating detailed plans of work, including task allocation and resource requirements
- Developing quotes and cost breakdowns for asset works
- Compiling rate cards for labour and task-based costing
- Generating and validating material kit lists to support stock allocations
- Supporting compliance processes by verifying installation/evidence documentation
- Coordinating with subcontractors and internal delivery teams
- Assisting with commissioning documentation for ventilation systems (where required)
- Maintaining project trackers and records using Microsoft Office tools
- Conducting occasional site visits for technical understanding
- Upholding retrofit, insulation, and renewable standards
What You’ll Bring

Essential Requirements:
✔ Full UK driving licence ✔ Knowledge of asset works and in-house installation measures ✔ Understanding of CDM legislation ✔ Experience in labour time allocation and task planning ✔ Strong communication, collaboration, and organisational skills ✔ Professional, proactive, and self-motivated approach
