Role Overview
In a Nutshell…
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our team within Vistry East Anglia, based at our Peterborough office.
As our Technical Coordinator, you will:
- Co-ordinate all technical information between external consultants and internal departments throughout the design and construction process
- Ensure all approvals are obtained and information is received and issued to enable a prompt start on site

In return, what we would like from you?
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Demonstrates our company values: Integrity, Caring, and Quality
- Holds a full current UK driving licence or equivalent
- Has proven working experience in Architecture / Civil Engineering
- Includes previous experience in the Residential Housing sector
- Is proficient in regulatory approvals, including all section agreements (Section 38 and Section 104 designs)
- Possesses project management and supervision skills
- Is thorough with strong attention to detail
- Can confidently challenge decisions made by others
- Is quick and eager to learn, with a focus on continuous development
- Demonstrates strong communication skills (all levels)
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
- Uses an analytical approach
- Has operational-level knowledge of 4Projects Viewpoint

Desirable:
- A degree or similar qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture (or related disciplines)
- CAD / Revit skills
More About the Technical Coordinator Role
- Ensure adherence to company-wide Life of Site processes
- Confirm that drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout design and construction phases
- Attend and contribute to progress meetings on site (as required)
- Co-ordinate planning processes and review planning approvals to address conditions prior to project start on site
- Agree construction specifications, SAP, and BREAM strategies for projects
- Co-ordinate submissions for Building Control, Warranty applications, and supporting documentation
- Liaise with consultants and attend meetings for ongoing technical matters progress
- Assist Commercial and Buying teams in review and approval of subcontractor design information
- Keep accurate, on-time design information aligned with client requirements
- Ensure cost-effective design control and buildability
- Maintain and update current drawings/documents on the 4Projects Viewpoint Platform
- Review contract documentation, warranties, and bond requirements (in liaison with Contracts Manager)
- Apply for and secure statutory approvals (e.g., Engineering Designs, Ground Remediation)
- Co-ordinate temporary works designs
- Attend site visits and meetings to resolve issues during construction
- Ensure new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as needed
- Execute any additional tasks as determined by management
