Technical Data Lead – Enterprise Data Platform | Manchester | 12 Months
I'm currently recruiting for a Technical Data Lead to join a major Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) transformation programme with a leading UK financial services organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the technical design and delivery of how business applications consume data from a new enterprise-wide data platform.
📍 Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
📅 Contract: 12 months (initial)
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the technical design for consumption of the Enterprise Data Platform.
- Drive solution architecture and design across multiple engineering teams.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data management and governance standards.
- Manage complex technical dependencies across large transformation programmes.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

We're looking for experience with:
- Delivering Medallion Architecture on modern data platforms (essential)
- Enterprise Data Platforms / Lakehouse architectures
- Data governance and data management controls
- Large-scale data transformation programmes
- Managing cross-functional technical dependencies and stakeholders

Previous experience within Banking or Financial Services is highly desirable.
