Ingenio is working with a leading global digital engineering consultancy to hire a Technical Delivery Director responsible for driving the successful delivery of bespoke, custom-built software solutions for enterprise customers.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering leadership, architecture, client advisory, and digital transformation. You will work with organisations to modernise platforms, adopt cloud technologies, and deliver innovative software solutions — built from the ground up, not off-the-shelf implementations.
The Role
- Own delivery across complex enterprise software engineering programmes
- Define technical approaches, architectures, and delivery strategies
- Lead engineering teams delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing custom solutions
- Facilitate discovery workshops and collaborate with clients on technical direction
- Support solution development, proposals, and technical pre-sales engagements
- Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies, automation, and AI-enabled engineering practices

Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Bespoke, custom-built enterprise software delivery experience — this must come from building tailored solutions, not configuring or implementing off-the-shelf/package platforms
- Consulting or digital engineering environment background — you must have delivered software for external clients within a consultancy, professional services, or digital engineering firm (not solely in-house/product company experience)
- Track record leading large-scale software engineering programmes for external clients
- Strong technical architecture understanding (cloud, APIs, distributed systems)
- C-level stakeholder engagement
- Engineering team leadership
- Experience supporting pre-sales activities, technical proposals, solution workshops, and client growth initiatives

- Base salary: circa £160,000 + 20%
