Technical Delivery Manager – Full Profile
Key Responsibilities
- Establish & Run Delivery Structured Establish and run the Delivery Playbook governance structure and cadence (kickoff, planning, execution, closure).
- Client-ClearRoute Alignment
Facilitate communication between client-facing and internal stakeholders; maintain clarity on:
- Who is working on what
- Engagement stakeholders
- Governance & Assurance
Capture delivery data, RAG status, risks, and insights for:
- Bi-weekly & monthly delivery reviews
- Risk Protection
Manage engagement risk to protect ClearRoute’s interests, including:
- Identifying & mitigating dependencies
- Decoupling bottlenecks
- Delivery Coordination & Quality
Coordinate workstreams, coach the team, and ensure:
- Quality of deliverables
- Adherence to Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban)
- Team Health & Alignment
Regularly run Delivery Health Check Toolkit to monitor:
- Team health
- Performance metrics
- Engagement Closure
Own end-to-end closure of engagements, including:
- Sign-off of deliverables
- Engagement review
- Case-study and IP capture
Required Experience
- Delivery Leadership:
- Proven track record managing software delivery engagements end-to-end (on time, scope, budget), preferably in a consultancy or client-facing services environment.
- Engineering-Literate Agile Delivery:
- Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), modern engineering practices, and strong technical literacy to:
- Challenge technical stakeholders
- Guide engineering teams to excellence
- Familiarity with:
- CI/CD pipelines
- DORA metrics
- Quality engineering
- Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), modern engineering practices, and strong technical literacy to:
- Stakeholder Management:
- Exceptional communication skills, including ability to build trust with:
- Senior client stakeholders
- Economic decision-makers

- Demonstrated experience managing risks and dependencies
- Sound commercial awareness to protect:

- Hands-on experience running:

- Ability to present insights to:
- Client leadership
- Internal stakeholders
- Hands-on experience running:

- Ability to coach & coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Operate flexibly by adapting process to context rather than rigidly applying frameworks

Desirable Experience
- Hands-on Engineering Background:
- Background as a software engineer or technical lead before moving into delivery roles
- Client Engagement Models:
- Experience with multiple engagement models, including:
- Time & Materials
- Capability/squad-based models
- Outcome/OKRs
- Experience with multiple engagement models, including:
- Specialist Domains:
- Familiarity with Cloud, DevOps, or test-automation ecosystems
- New Engagement Setup:
- Experience building engagements from scratch, such as:
- Onboarding onto client systems
- Co-creating backlogs
