About the Role The Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) is responsible for the support and operation of the Press’s content management, content lifecycle and product embedded content capabilities, working across blended teams comprising internal and external colleagues and suppliers. As a credible delivery leader, the TDM is the face of Technical Delivery for Content & Publishing Services, earning the trust of senior stakeholders by ensuring agreed scope is delivered to plan.

A data-driven thinker, the TDM applies the right metrics across internal and external teams to keep objectives on track. Working across business boundaries, the role brings multiple partners together into a single, joined-up service, underpinned by clear performance data and transparent reporting.

The TDM works closely with OUP’s divisional product teams, product owners, content teams and other stakeholders to specify, estimate, enhance and implement market-leading products. These products enable OUP’s business strategy, meet expected standards of quality, and provide a consistent experience for OUP’s internal and external users.

The TDM holds overall responsibility for the delivery of outcomes sought from the relevant product technology investment portfolio. With a strong focus on customers, the role drives quality, budget control, engineering rigour, standards and compliance, and supplier performance. In partnership with Enterprise Architecture, the TDM ensures delivery stays aligned with both technology and business strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
