Technical Design Engineer
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £30,000–£35,000
I'm recruiting for a well-established engineering manufacturer looking to add a Junior Technical Design Engineer to their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years' industry experience who is looking to further develop their career within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Create and update engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Work closely with production to ensure designs are suitable for manufacture.
- Support design changes and continuous product improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver bespoke engineering solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years' experience in a Design Engineer or CAD role.
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (or similar Autodesk software).
- Experience producing manufacturing drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team-working abilities.

Desirable
- Experience working with sheet metal design and fabrication.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM).
- Understanding of fabrication, welding, or laser-cut components.
