Salary: £32,000 - £41,000 (depending on experience)

As a Technical Designer at Studio XAG, you'll play a pivotal role in our production department, collaborating closely with a talented team to bring our creative concepts to fruition. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting our Senior Technical Designer and Production Studio
- Providing technical and construction advice, and problem-solving
- Bridging the gap between creative design and fabrication
- Assisting with Site Surveys & producing supporting documentation
- Specifying materials, fixings, and manufacturing techniques
- Producing technical drawings and CAD/CAM files & documents ready for build
- Supporting our fabrication team during build projects
- Ensuring technical and creative integrity while managing project budgets
- Overseeing quality control and liaising with suppliers and production managers
- Keeping updated of new software, materials, suppliers, and processes
- Adhering to health and safety standards and risk assessment management

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in technical design, preferably in retail display, shop-fitting, exhibition/events, or staging industries
- Possess expert knowledge of CAD software (preferably Rhino & Solidworks) and Sketchup
- Demonstrate proficiency in creating and reading construction drawings and 3D models
- Exhibit a strong understanding of CNC processes and their implementation in drawings
- Show an active interest in various design practices and materials
- Have excellent knowledge of fabrication techniques and assembly processes

Location:
This position is based full-time at our East London studio, with flexible working hours and partial remote work options available.
