Technical Designer – Retail Design & Build

Near Brighton | 5 days a week onsite please

I’m working with this agency — an award-winning design and manufacture business specialising in high-impact retail displays — as they continue to grow their team.

Based near Brighton, they create everything from window displays and pop-ups to full retail activations for a range of well-known brands. They’re now looking for an experienced Technical Designer to join their fast-paced, highly collaborative studio.

This is a fully onsite role, five days a week, so it’s a great fit for someone who enjoys being close to production, working hands-on with teams and seeing ideas come to life.

The role

This is a key position within the design team, bridging creative concepts with technical delivery. You’ll take ideas from initial concept through to detailed drawings, ready for manufacture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
