Technical Director (Commercial Flooring / Global Projects)
£70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus (OTE £85,000 - £95,000) + Progression to Technical Director + International Travel + Company Vehicle + Company Benefits

Are you a senior commercial flooring professional with technical leadership experience, looking to join a global market leader where you'll lead international technical operations, work on world-renowned projects and increase your earnings through company bonuses?
This globally recognised manufacturer specialises in professional performance flooring and staging systems for the dance, theatre, entertainment, education and live events industries. For over 45 years, the business has supplied world-renowned venues and organisations across more than 100 countries, earning a reputation for technical excellence, innovation and quality while continuing to expand internationally.
In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and lead the Group's global technical function, providing strategic and operational leadership across engineering, product development, manufacturing and technical support. Working closely with international sales, project management and manufacturing teams, you will oversee new product development, support major global projects, develop technical standards and ensure the company's products continue to set the benchmark for quality, performance and innovation.

This role would suit a senior technical leader from a commercial flooring, engineered timber or performance flooring background looking to take ownership of a global technical function within a market-leading manufacturer, working on prestigious international projects while influencing future product innovation and business growth.
The Role
- Leading the Group's global technical function across engineering, product development and technical support
- Providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales and project lifecycle
- Developing technical specifications, engineering drawings and installation methodologies
- Supporting major international projects with technical solutions, site inspections and problem resolution
- Leading new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with manufacturing to improve product quality, performance and production efficiency
- Supporting sales teams with technical presentations, quotations and tender documentation
- Mentoring National Technical Managers and delivering technical training across the Group
- International leadership role with regular overseas travel

The Person
- Senior Technical Manager, Technical Director or similar
- Extensive commercial flooring, PVC flooring or engineered timber flooring experience
- Strong CAD and technical drawing experience
- Experience leading technical teams, product development and engineering projects
- Happy to travel internationally
