About Project Centre

Project Centre is a leading design, engineering, and landscape architecture consultancy whose highly talented people are passionate about creating places that are attractive, innovative, sustainable, and safe.

Our approach to integrated design produces award-winning results that have won international recognition and named CIHT’s Employer of the Year in 2021. Led by a forward-thinking management team, we work together in multi-disciplinary teams that provide services that are well thought out and sustainable.

About The Role

Are you a senior, commercially minded Highways leader ready to take full ownership of performance, growth, and service excellence?

Due to an internal promotion the rare opportunity has arisen to step into a high impact leadership role at Project Centre, where you’ll shape strategy, win major work, and lead multidisciplinary technical teams delivering industry-leading highway design and consultancy services across a broad geographic region, implementing change and driving the continued growth of the business.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading multiple technical teams and senior managers to deliver high-quality highways, asset management, and construction design services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including internal and external clients, operational staff, project teams, or external stakeholders.
  • Winning new business and growing key accounts to drive regional and national success.
  • Oversee technical input into bid proposals, defining the delivery strategy and working with cross-functional teams to prepare high-quality, compliant, competitive submissions.
  • Setting the strategic direction for the Highways discipline, alongside senior leadership.
  • Ensuring outstanding financial performance, including revenue growth, margins, WIP control, and account management targets.
  • Driving technical excellence, best practice, and governance across complex, business-critical projects, maintaining excellent relationships with the Institution of Civil Engineers, Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation, Department for Transport, National Highways, and relevant institutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
