Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Amazon provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world.

The Amazon Cloud infrastructure is built around Regions and Availability Zones. Our Regions provide multiple, physically separated and isolated Availability Zones which are connected with low latency, high throughput, and highly redundant networking.

These Availability Zones offer AWS customers an easier and more effective way to design and operate applications and databases, making them more highly available, fault tolerant, and scalable than traditional single data centre infrastructures or multi-data centre infrastructures.

How would you like to come be part of the team that builds Fiber to the Cloud?

We are looking for a highly motivated, technically savvy Fiber Deployment Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (FD-TIPM) to help develop and scale one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. The FD-TIPM is responsible for managing highly technical, cost efficient, and fast-paced communication construction project schedules to keep pace with and enable AWS Network growth. FD-TIPMs are constantly challenged and empowered to drive continuous improvement and deliver the highest quality, most technically efficient connectivity solutions in the world.

As an FD-TIPM you will be a part of a highly creative and efficient team with diverse backgrounds and expertise, tasked with tackling interesting and challenging problems in modern fiber construction. FD-TIPMs are always at the forefront of the network construction industry in terms of innovation and technology, maintaining focus on delivering industry-leading networks for our customers. The FD-TIPM is ultimately responsible for end-to-end network delivery and management of internal stakeholders and external contractors and partners. The FD-TIPM is also a leader in their specific discipline such as construction management, fiber splicing, OSP design, ISP construction, or system installation/commissioning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
