The Role: Technical Instructor (Mid-level)
Professional Level: Professionals Key Area: Sales & Training Salary: £37,000 – £49,000 (depending on experience) Bonus: Non-contractual 14% annual performance bonus
Join our CUK Academy Team as the Technical Instructor, responsible for independently designing and delivering technical training on Service Engineering for agricultural machinery. This is a role for someone with deep technical knowledge and strong teaching ability, ensuring impactful learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Training Course Development
- Plan and design agricultural machinery and engineering-related training for both face-to-face and virtual delivery.
- Develop and update training materials to align with current products, processes, and industry standards.
- Sustain continuous improvement through feedback and industry advancements.
- Assist with global academy initiatives.
Training Course Delivery
- Teach and assess delegates on technical aspects of machinery and technologies.
- Facilitate safety-conscious, engaging training environments.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities in all training interactions.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide technical guidance and support to delegates throughout training.
- Collaborate with product development and service teams to validate content accuracy.
- Build strong professional relationships with external stakeholders—delegates, customers, and farm dealers.
Continuous Professional Development
- Maintain expertise in agricultural machinery (specialising in tractors, foragers, or related products).
- Engage in ** ongoing training** and pursue teaching qualifications.
Your Profile
Experience
- Experience in agricultural engineering or related engineering fields.
- Training delivery experience is a strong advantage, though not obligatory.
- Passion for the agricultural industry and its evolving challenges.
Skills & Knowledge
- Qualified with a Level 3 in Land-Based Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship/specialist degree.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations and workflows.
- Ability to work autonomously whilst contributing effectively to a team.
Communication & Mindset
- Positive, adaptable attitude and resilience to changing requirements.
- Approachable and confident—ideal for supporting learners.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and external contacts.
