Technical integration and reporting lead - capacity management – Capacity Management
Duration: 6 months, extendable
Reporting To: Theme Delivery Lead – Capacity Planning Control Uplift
Location: Sheffield or remote
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Technical integration and reporting lead with strong systems thinking and a solid grasp of data, reporting, solutions design and integration to drive and support integration of solutions to core capacity controls across our technology estate. This role blends solution design with hands-on engineering and technical communications.
The ideal candidate brings knowledge of risk and controls frameworks, reporting, diverse application integration solutions, solution design and driving technology best practice through communities of practice and well crafted technical communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with IT System Owners and engineers to execute integration plans on a significant variety of Technology systems and services across HSBC
- Lead the design and build of interface solution(s) integrating specific data flows from core capacity management systems into upstream and downstream solutions and platforms.
- Assess existing tooling, data flows and operational practices to identify control gaps and propose remediation strategies.
- Designing innovative and visually clear and informative reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, architecture, and risk teams to validate technical designs and implementation plans.
- Define reusable technical patterns and tooling strategies that enhance operational readiness and control sustainability.
- Lead tooling assessment, planning and documentation for integration execution activities.
- Support and lead testing, release, warranty and operational handover of platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in engineering, infrastructure, or technical architecture roles in complex technology environments.
- Familiarity with SRE disciplines such as observability, service-level indicators/objectives (SLIs/SLOs), and automation of operational tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply control requirements in technical design contexts.
- Experience of producing solution design documentation
- Experience around interface design, systems integration and automation delivery.
- Experience of governance and reporting solution use cases, wireframes, process design, data mapping, test case development and co-ordination
- Experience of leading technical best practice through communities of practice and excellent communications with engineering communities.
- Strong communication skills — able to convey technical concepts to senior stakeholders and control partners.

Desirable:
- Experience in implementing or uplifting operational controls (capacity, performance, availability).
- Exposure to internal risk frameworks or external regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, EBA, PRA).
- Background in service reliability, system diagnostics, or incident response.
- Experience of Testing tools
- Experience of Observability systems such as Splunk, App Dynamics etc
