Technical Lead
Tech Lead | .NET, AWS, React | London | Hybrid | £120,000
We're partnering with an award-winning, high-growth SaaS business that's transforming the way global financial institutions tackle complex regulatory and data challenges.
Following significant investment and continued expansion, they're looking for a Tech Lead to lead one of their core product engineering teams while remaining hands-on with architecture and software development.
This is a genuine player-coach role, ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring engineers, driving technical strategy, and still writing high-quality code.
The Opportunity
You'll lead a full-stack engineering team responsible for building the company's next-generation platform as they modernise a legacy application into a scalable, event-driven microservices architecture.
Working alongside Product, DevOps, Data Engineering and QA, you'll influence technical direction while helping shape engineering culture, standards and delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing technical leadership for a full-stack engineering team
- Remaining hands-on with development using C# and .NET
- Designing scalable, event-driven services using modern architectural patterns
- Driving engineering standards across testing, CI/CD, observability and software quality
- Championing AI-assisted development to improve productivity and engineering outcomes
- Collaborating with Product, DevOps, QA and Data teams to deliver complex technical solutions
- Helping modernise a large-scale platform into a cloud-native architecture

What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on expertise with C# and .NET
- Previous experience leading technical delivery and mentoring engineers
- Experience building distributed, event-driven systems
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and modern architectural principles
- Strong understanding of clean code, automated testing, CI/CD and observability
- Commercial experience with AWS
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar within the development lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions

- Kafka or other event streaming technologies
