Technical Lead / Junior Architect

About the Role

We are looking for a technical lead/junior architect to join our team in Chiswick, West London. You will be responsible for the overall development and delivery of key products, working closely with Product Directors, other application architects, and development scrum teams.

In this role, you will define:

  • Development standards
  • Testing metrics
  • Process for building technical solutions for new feature development aligned with business goals and commercial value.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical development background and experience designing and developing scalable solutions—ideal for a candidate looking to thrive in a global, agile, fast-paced environment using leading technology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable web and mobile solutions, leveraging the latest technology standards to meet market requirements.
  • Develop solution features while ensuring adherence to development best practices, solution performance, and user adoption.
  • Develop integrations with external systems (e.g., 3rd-party integration tools such as MuleSoft, Okta) following defined architecture guidelines.
  • Review and define technical solutions, conducting impact assessments for WFR as a single product offering.
  • Build scalable solutions in line with reference architecture while applying containerization principles.
  • Collaborate closely with Technical, Testing, and Design teams to define exceptional user experiences and scalable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, privacy, security, and architectural standards.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive product documentation.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of web development or mobile app development; familiarity with business modeling, database concepts, and project management (with a preference for Agile Development Methodologies).
  • Proficiency in REST-based APIs using JSON and web services.
  • Ability to manage the delivery team, including coaching Associate and Professional Developers.
  • Experience integrating with Identity Access Providers (preferably Okta).
  • Experience developing solutions in cloud (AWS) using Cloud-Native technologies.
  • Proficiency in web-based development with:
    • JavaScript
    • CSS
    • Markup languages
    • Web-programming tools such as ASP.NET, .NET, PHP, C#, or Java
  • Solid understanding of product development architecture.
  • Strong foundation in User-Centered Design (UCD) principles and adherence to design quality standards.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to:
    • Present technical material clearly and understandably.
    • Articulate detailed, persuasive information to all stakeholders (both verbally and in writing).
  • A strong problem-solving mindset, ready to jump in and resolve challenges.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, international organization is a plus.
  • Skilled in managing multiple stakeholders effectively in daily operations.
