We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. What will you be doing?

As our Technical Lead, you'll be responsible for providing technical authority, assurance, and leadership across water and wastewater projects delivered by M Group Water. The role ensures that all technical solutions are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and fit for purpose, meeting client, regulatory, and M Group Water governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • You'll act as the key technical interface between clients, designers, operations, and other M Group Water internal functions, supporting successful delivery across the frameworks.
  • You'll act as the technical authority for clean water, wastewater, and multifunctional assets, providing leadership to engineers, designers, and technical specialists while ensuring compliance with client standards and M Group Water governance. The role includes leading and approving ECI, feasibility, optioneering, and detailed design, and chairing design reviews and technical gateways.
  • You'll champion safety‑by‑design, fulfil Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality systems, while managing technical risk and resolving complex issues.
  • You'll provide technical support to project planning, cost, change control, and client engagement.
  • As a primary technical contact for clients, you'll build strong relationships with stakeholders, promote best practice and standardisation, encourage innovation and digital engineering, and mentor and develop technical staff.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
