Tech Lead | Applied AI - LegalTech
£90,000 – £130,000 + EMI Equity - Remote
We have partnered exclusively with an exceptionally well-funded, revenue generating Legal AI scale-up building sophisticated AI products for the global legal industry.
As they expand their product offering we are seeking a hands-on AI Tech Lead to take ownership of their next-generation AI platform.
What are we doing?
This isn't another basic chatbot or a superficial API wrapper. The team has engineered a proprietary agent architecture that enables law firms to analyse and reason over massive volumes of regulated data. From complex medical records to 10,000+ page document sets, their platform generates high-fidelity summaries, answers nuanced questions, and automates workflows that previously took days of manual effort.
With proven product-market fit and commercial revenue already rolling in, they are now scaling.
The Role
As Tech Lead, you will take technical ownership of the AI platform, leading a nimble team of three AI Engineers while remaining deeply hands-on. You will own architectural decisions, drive technical quality, collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to shape the roadmap, and pioneer new AI features.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
