Technical Lead

Partnership Role: Technical Lead

(Mentored by a partner company within the United Kingdom)

A fully remote Technical Lead role in a fast-paced, global engineering environment, focused on:

  • Driving scalable, high-quality software solutions
  • Lead technical standards, architectural decisions, and continuous process improvement

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Architecture

    • Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance software systems
    • Define and enforce engineering best practices, code quality, and maintainability standards
    • Conduct code reviews and mentoring to elevate team expertise
  • Risk & Strategy

    • Make architectural decisions with a focus on risk mitigation
    • Align technical solutions with business and product objectives
    • Optimise DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation workflows

Requirements

** Qualifications & Experience**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10+ years in software development, with senior technical leadership experience

Technical Expertise

  • Proven architecture/design skills, system scalability, and end-to-end solutions
  • Hands-on experience with code reviews, engineering standards, and Agile/Scrum

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Strong mentorship for engineering teams in high-velocity environments
  • Decision-making under technical and business constraints
  • Collaboration & communication skills (technical and non-technical stakeholders)
  • Native British English proficiency (written/spoken)
