Tech Lead - Enterprise Data Platform
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Tech Lead - Enterprise Data Platform to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Manchester (Radbroke) 2 days a week.
About the Role
Our client is supporting the mobilisation of a major Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) programme within a leading UK Banking organisation.
The wider initiative consists of two significant workstreams:
- Data Hydration onto the new Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)
- Business Banking consumption of data from the EDP
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to lead the Business Banking Consumption workstream, ensuring Business Banking capabilities are successfully designed and built to consume data from the new Enterprise Data Platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Business Banking data consumption workstream within the wider EDP transformation programme.
- Own technical solution design and delivery across a modern data platform environment.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements and perform gap analysis.
- Translate business requirements into technical design and build specifications.
- Drive alignment with Data Management Controls and enterprise data standards.
- Manage complex dependencies across multiple workstreams, teams, and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership across mixed onshore and offshore delivery teams.
- Present progress, risks, and decisions to Steering Committees, governance forums, and senior stakeholders.
- Support AI-led development approaches and modern engineering practices.

About You
- Proven experience delivering Medallion Architecture solutions on modern data platforms.
- Strong track record leading large-scale data platform migration / modernisation programmes.
- Experience applying Data Management Control standards into solution design and engineering specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies across enterprise programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and governance experience.
