Technical Lead (Operator)

Closing Date: 2026-07-22 Job Title: Technical Lead (Operator) Location: Hampshire and Isle of Wight (flexible base with site-based travel required) Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 37 per week (Monday - Friday) Salary: Up to £45,000 (dependent on skills and experience)


About the Role

As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a high-quality, blended learning experience that seamlessly combines robust theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training for our water process operators.

You’ll bring significant knowledge of water treatment processes (or a comparable background in water treatment operations) and a talent for translating complex processes into clear, accessible learning. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you’ll manage multiple priorities while contributing to the continuous improvement of our training offer.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions to new and existing operators
  • Develop and maintain training materials and assessments aligned with regulatory and operational standards
  • Facilitate practical, on-the-job learning to reinforce theoretical concepts
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive, developmental feedback
  • Collaborate with operational teams and subject matter experts to ensure training reflects current practices
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance training delivery and content

Requirements

You’ll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in Water Resources and Production or a deep understanding of water treatment processes
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for delivering training and engaging with stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive problem-solver who can identify learning challenges and implement effective solutions
  • Skills in building strong relationships with learners, colleagues, and subject matter experts
  • Adaptability to train diverse learning needs
  • A passion for developing others and commitment to continuous improvement
