Tech Lead / Architect (C#/.NET)
3-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | £550 per day | Hybrid (Predominantly Remote but may be asked in to London for specific meetings days)
We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead / Architect to join on an initial 3-month contract, working predominantly remotely with occasional on-site attendance as required. This is an Outside IR35 engagement offering a day rate of £550 p/d.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Architecture & Development
- Demonstrable expertise in C#/.NET with the ability to design scalable, maintainable backend solutions.
- Design and define API contracts, domain models, error handling frameworks, and webhook integration flows.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural best practices are followed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Experience with payments platforms or payment terminal integrations is highly desirable.

Technical Leadership
- Act as the Technical Lead for the project, providing architectural guidance and technical oversight.
- Take on Scrum Master responsibilities, facilitating Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Own delivery sequencing, identify and remove blockers, and help ensure successful sprint execution.
- Coordinate effectively with internal Platform Engineering and Product teams, as well as external technology vendors and integration partners.

Documentation & Solution Design
- Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation including:
- API specifications
- Sequence diagrams
- Error code frameworks
- Integration guides
- Ensure documentation is maintained throughout the project to support development, testing, and future handover.
Contract Details
- Contract Length: Initial 3 months
- Day Rate: £550 per day
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
- Working Pattern: Hybrid, predominantly remote with occasional on-site attendance when required.
