Technical Lecturer - Motorsport

Technical Lecturer – Motorsport – MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MOTORSPORT

Location: Silverstone, National College for Motorsport Salary: £33,048–£38,169 per annum (DOE and qualifications) + Market Supplement up to £10,000 Contract: Permanent – Full Time (37 hours/week, 52 weeks/year) Term: 22 July 2026 (interviews), expires 08/07/2026


About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Lecturer in Motorsport with mandatory experience in the Motorsport industry to join our department at The Bedford College Group.

This role involves delivering high-quality teaching, assessment, and student support across levels, ensuring learners thrive within motorsport and engineering pathways.

Core Responsibilities

  • Teaching & Student Achievement:

    • Deliver engaging lessons aligned to course standards.
    • Support diverse learners to maximise their potential.
  • Curriculum Development:

    • Create and refine schemes of work using current industry trends.
    • Collaborate on innovative teaching practices.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Motorsport specialist with proven industry experience.
  • Commitment to teaching (or willingness to obtain PGCE/CertEd).
  • Strongpedagogical skills—adaptable, engaging delivery for mixed abilities.

Desired Skills

  • Up-to-date industry knowledge (theory + practical applications).
  • Proficiency in VLE/digital platforms (or eagerness to learn).
  • Exemplary communication, teamwork, and organisational abilities.
  • Committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous professional practice.
