Technical Machine Operator

Technical Operator

Staffline are looking to speak with experienced, Multi-skilled Technical Machine Operators.

The purpose of the role is to ensure reliable and efficient running of the automated conveyors and machines. As an experienced Technical Machine operator, you will be the first line response for breakdowns and work with the National Technical Dept to ensure that the installation is regularly maintained.

Shift Pattern

4on 4off, Night shift

In Your New Role As a Multi-Skilled Technician

  • Monitor the machines running
  • Ensuring the machine is running at peak efficiency to achieve KPIs
  • Ensuring all minor issues are resolved as quickly as possible to minimise downtime
  • Planned / Preventative Maintenance
  • Work with the National Technician to lead the planning of regular maintenance
  • Execute the maintenance plans of the technical installation, working with pumps and motors
  • Contribute recommendations for improvements of the washing installation including decreasing costs, consumption, increasing efficiency and working safely
  • Align with the depot management to ensure minimal disruption to operation
  • Solve failures on the installation within agreed KPI’s
  • Follow up and record all repairs, breakdowns, and downtime
  • Training of Shift Leaders to ensure adequate absence cover

To Be Considered For This Role

  • Experience working and maintaining automated machinery and conveyors
  • A relevant qualification, Electrical, Mechanical
  • Experience in pneumatic systems (desirable).
  • Computer literacy and strong IT skills.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, drawings, and manuals.
  • Understanding of production planning and processes.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and face-to-face).
  • Ability to analyse data and solve technical problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
