Technical Manager
Site Technical Manager | Food Manufacturing | Cornwall
Are you an experienced Technical Manager looking to make a real impact within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? We're partnering with a well-established food manufacturer seeking a driven Technical Manager to lead site food safety, quality, and compliance while playing a key role within the senior leadership team. This is an opportunity to influence site strategy, build strong customer relationships, and lead a talented technical team focused on delivering the highest standards.
The Role You'll take ownership of the site's technical agenda, ensuring products are safe, compliant, and consistently meet customer expectations. Working closely with operational leaders, you'll drive continuous improvement and create a strong food safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver the site's technical strategy Drive food safety, quality, legality, and product integrity Manage HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, traceability, and Quality Management Systems Lead BRC, customer, and regulatory audits Build strong relationships with customers and external stakeholders Analyse technical KPIs and implement improvement initiatives Oversee hygiene, pest control, specifications, and compliance activities Develop, coach, and inspire the technical team
About You You'll have: Proven Technical or Quality leadership experience within FMCG food manufacturing Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and quality standards Experience managing customer audits and technical systems Excellent understanding of HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Good IT skills, including Excel

Desirable Degree in Food Science or a related discipline Level 4 Food Safety & HACCP qualification Internal Auditor qualification Experience with environmental management systems Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies Understanding of ethical trading standards such as SEDEX
