Technical/Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Gloucestershire Hours: 22.5–30 hours per week (negotiable) Salary: £55,000–£65,000 per annum (pro rata) Employment Type: Full- or part-time

The Role: Technical/Quality Assurance Manager
The Technical/Quality Assurance Manager will take ownership of the HACCP team and ensure regulatory compliance, supplier and customer relations, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead HACCP team management
- Develop, maintain, and update quality systems to meet BRCGS (Agents & Brokers) and MSC Chain of Custody requirements
- Oversee annual BRCGS and MSC audits, including preparation and execution

Supplier and Customer Quality Coordination
- Oversee supplier approval processes
- Manage relationships with technical teams to ensure food safety, legal compliance, and product specifications
- Resolve technical issues and monitor compliance with customer standards

Audit and Regulatory Oversight
- Conduct internal audits on quality management systems, reporting findings
- Travel to supplier and customer sites both domestically and internationally (primarily in Europe) for audits and assessments
- Term potential safety, legal, and authenticity incidents directly to the Managing Director

Stakeholder Communication & Training
- Attend quarterly review meetings to discuss complaints trends across the organisation
- Organise and deliver training programs to ensure employee safety and quality awareness
- Supervise sick/annual leave management via the Company Planner

- Compliance and Operations Support
- Manage food-safety risk assessments
- Coordinate sampling and exhibit-related activities for trade shows
- Assist with administrative duties where needed (team is small and cross-functional)
Requirements & Eligibility
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- HACCP Level 3 certification
- Demonstrated auditing competence in food safety and quality management (internal/external) - Bonus: Experience in HACCP training
- Valid UK driving licence
- Eligibility to work full- or part-time in the UK
Desired but Not Essential:
- Knowledge of labelling regulations
- Familiarity with customs/import procedures
