Technical Support Officer

A Technical Support Officer is required to work within the Highways Systems section of the Asset Team within Dorset Highways. This full-time (37 hours) permanent position will provide application support to Highways users and work to bring about improvements to our service delivery using Databases, Mapping & Asset Management Software. The ability to work well as part of a small specialist team is important, and a knowledge of highways functions is preferable.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day management of data in the Aurora system
  • Assisting with project work within the team
  • Providing frontline support for users on both the host & mobile platform
  • Maintenance of data, including data entry and data cleansing tasks
  • Analysis of relevant information using the system reporting
  • Benefiting from experience of analysing structured data and developing bespoke reports with strong Excel capability
