Technical Operations Lead

The role:
We are seeking a Technical Operations Lead to coordinate and drive technical activity across our Operations Management function, ensuring operational, platform, security and product-related work is prioritised, planned, communicated and delivered effectively. In this role, you will act as the central coordination point between Operations, Product Management, R&D, Cyber Security, Project Delivery and Service Delivery teams, helping to ensure technical initiatives are delivered efficiently and with clear visibility across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment, enjoys working across multiple teams (sales, R&D, operations) to technically coordinate and confidently manage priorities, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage operational technical work queues, ensuring priorities are aligned across Support, MIS, D&EI and Cyber Security teams.
- Maintain visibility of deployments, upgrades and releases, ensuring implementation activities are planned and coordinated effectively.
- Act as the primary operational contact for Product Lifecycle Managers and Stream Leads, providing operational input into new initiatives and technical changes.
- Identify and escalate delivery risks, resource constraints, operational impacts and dependencies that may affect delivery timelines.
- Chair technical coordination meetings and stand-ups, driving actions through to completion and ensuring accountability across teams.
- Coordinate platform, security, patching and remediation activities across multiple products and services.
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, operational processes and knowledge management practices.
- Support Project Delivery teams by coordinating operational readiness, technical handovers and infrastructure dependencies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
