An excellent opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our excellent production team in Bradford in the position of Technical Operator.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Conversion Team Leader, the Technical Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining F&K and Gerber cutting machines and any other duties associated with the manufacturing of Company product.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

  • Operating F&K and Gerber Cutting machines.
  • Maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all machinery and equipment on site; including routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all machines operate efficiently and safely.
  • Assist in backfilling on machines during any increase in demand or cover of absence. This could include working an afternoon shift pattern when required.
  • Work with the wider team to support continued quality of product, cost efficiencies and achieving KPIs.
  • Contribute to and improve the consistent delivery of high standards and process development within production and manufacturing operations.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality with regards to Company operations, policies, and future plans.
  • Deliver works in accordance with ISO procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Background in the production of medical devices is desirable.
  • Experience with Material Cutting CNC machines, Gerber, or Assyst Bullmer is advantageous.
  • FLT License is desired.
  • Foam conversion Equipment, F&K and Band Knife experience would be advantageous to this role.
  • Ability to work well within a team, with good verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to work with speed and accuracy.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with an energetic approach to work.
  • Excellent time keeping and attendance.
  • Tidy and organised, creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
