Are you an experienced Paraplanner with ambitions to become a Financial Planner?

Chester Rose Financial Planning is seeking a technically strong and ambitious Paraplanner to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of financial planning but ultimately wants to transition into a client-facing Financial Planner role.

For the first 18–24 months, you will play a key role within our Paraplanning team, developing a detailed understanding of our clients, advice process and technical standards. During this time, you will receive ongoing support, mentoring and development with the aim of transitioning into a Financial Planner role.

What you'll be doing

  • Producing high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters
  • Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning
  • Supporting Financial Planners with complex client cases and planning strategies
  • Preparing cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis
  • Reviewing existing client arrangements and identifying planning opportunities
  • Working closely with advisers to develop your understanding of client relationships and the advice process
  • Ensuring client records and documentation are maintained to the highest standard

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 3 years' Paraplanning experience
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning
  • Diploma qualified (Level 4) through the CII or CISI as a minimum
  • Ideally working towards Chartered status
  • A genuine ambition to become a Financial Planner within the next 18–24 months
  • Excellent analytical, technical and report-writing skills
  • A proactive individual who is keen to develop their technical expertise whilst building the skills required to become a trusted Financial Planner
