Job Title: Paraplanner

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £48,000 dependent on experience

Are you a technically strong Paraplanner looking to work on complex financial planning cases within a highly regarded, people first, Independent Financial Planning firm?

We're partnering with a well-established IFA within the Midlands that is continuing to grow. With a strong reputation for delivering holistic financial planning, you'll work alongside experienced Financial Planners, providing high-level technical support across a diverse client base including HNW individuals, business owners, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce bespoke suitability reports covering pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning.
  • Undertake technical research across investment platforms, pension providers, and financial planning solutions.
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts to support long-term financial planning recommendations.
  • Analyse existing client arrangements and formulate appropriate technical recommendations.
  • Support advisers with complex pre- and post-meeting preparation, ensuring advice remains FCA compliant and client-centric.
  • Liaise with providers and internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient implementation of recommendations.

About You

  • Previous Paraplanning experience within an IFA.
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (or working towards Chartered status).
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation, and retirement planning.
  • Experience producing high-quality suitability reports and carrying out detailed technical research.
  • Familiar with cashflow modelling software (Voyant desirable) and back-office systems such as Intelligent Office/Xplan.
