About the Role:

Avara Foods Technical Placement Programme 2026- 2027

Do you have a passion for Technical? Committed to maintaining and improving high standards? Are you a Food Science / Technology student looking for a 12- month placement in industry?

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to Technical across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Technical Placement Student to join our Technical Team, based at our advanced processing site in Wednesbury. Your working hours would be Monday to Friday 08.00-17.00

Your key responsibilities as a Technical Placement Student will include:

  • Assisting the Product Specifications Co-Ordinator & Production team with both new and existing products (QAS & Specifications)
  • Control of Quality Management System, accurate maintenance, document control revision of procedures and forms
  • Co-ordination of GMP audits, ensuring all areas are regularly assessed to maintain compliance
  • Submit lab sample data
  • Planning, organisation and communication trials
  • Co-ordinating sampling
  • Completion of technical information and project work

What we are looking for:

As a Technical Placement Student, we are looking for a passionate and ambitious Food Science / Technology Undergraduate to join our Technical department and be:

  • A team player but with the ability to work effectively independently
  • Adaptable to varied situations
  • Excellent at communicating with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues
  • Comfortable getting hands-on
  • Driven to achieve results and find solutions
  • On course to be achieving a minimum of a 2:2 degree, ideally with a bias in food science degree
