Overview Of The Technical Processing Engineer Role

We have an exciting opportunity for two Technical Processing Engineers to join the Divisional team on a full-time permanent basis. This role is integral to support operational excellence across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring process consistency, product quality, and continuous improvement in line with divisional objectives.

You will be working cross-functionally with site operations and multiple departments on projects, that vary in size, ranging from small initiatives to large capital projects. You will be applying your technical expertise to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality processes.

There will be regular travel to other sites in the Kingspan Group, so it is essential that you are willing to travel and hold a full UK driver's license. The role can be based at our Pembridge (HR6 9LA) or Selby (LS25 6NA) Site.

Key Responsibilities Of Our Technical Processing Engineer

  • Provide technical support to multiple manufacturing sites - as required - ensuring consistent process standards and performance
  • Optimise formulation and processing parameters to improve product quality and achieve KPIs
  • Lead or support cost-reduction, quality improvement, and capital improvements projects
  • Analyse processes to identify gaps and implement optimization solutions
  • Support commissioning and validation of new equipment, technologies, or process changes
  • Project planning, allocation of project resources, contractor supervision, cost estimation, and cost tracking
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental standards
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standards, and best practices
  • Deliver training and technical guidance to site teams

What we are looking for in our Technical Processing Engineer:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science (or related scientific/engineering discipline)
  • Relevant industry experience in process chemistry, polymers, manufacturing, materials science, or a related technical field
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving
  • High attention to detail
  • Technical ability and knowledge of plant and process
  • IT literacy with particular experience of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • A full driver's license valid in the UK
  • Flexibility to travel and work at other sites in the group as and when required
  • Team-based approach
  • Statistical knowledge and Lean Six Sigma is desirable
