Technical Product Manager

Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager – Early-Stage AI Software Business

Working for an early-stage AI software business, the Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager will help build and improve an AI product that automates operational workflows for a traditional B2B market.

The business is developing AI-enabled software that helps organisations automate high-volume operational workflows, improve responsiveness, reduce manual administration, and deliver better experiences for customers and internal teams. The company is at an early commercial stage, with a strong founding team, live pilot customers, positive market feedback, and ambitious scaling plans for 2026.

About the Role

This is a hands-on product role within a lean, fast-moving AI startup environment. The Technical Product Manager will work closely with the Product Lead, engineering, AI, customer success, and founders to:

  • Improve product quality
  • Strengthen customer trust
  • Shape the product’s development as the company scales

This is not a traditional roadmap-only Product Manager role. Instead, the Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager will:

  • Own how product quality is measured and improved, including:
    • AI evaluation suites
    • Test scenarios and graders
    • Customer feedback loops
    • Product performance tracking
    • Feature delivery

The ideal candidate is an AI-native, technically grounded product person who enjoys:

  • Solving messy problems
  • Collaborating closely with engineers and customers
  • Building product processes from scratch

The role is based in London, with a primarily office-based schedule of 4 days per week.

Compensation & Equity

  • £65,000–£80,000 base salary
  • Meaningful equity component
  • Opportunity to join at an early stage and benefit from future growth

Candidates Must:

  • Be based in the UK
  • Have full right to work without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce product quality standards, ensuring consistent measurement of performance across key areas.
  • Build and maintain AI evaluation suites, including:
    • Test scenarios for customer communications, maintenance, compliance, email, and voice
  • Track long-term product performance, monitor pass rates, identify regressions, and work with engineering to resolve quality gaps.
  • Review real customer interactions (conversations, calls, product interactions) to uncover:
    • New scenarios
    • Product issues
    • Improvement opportunities
  • Triage daily product quality and critical-error reviews, separating issues into categories:
    • Configuration problems
    • Data-related issues
    • User behaviour concerns
    • Genuine product bugs
  • Collaborate with engineering and AI teams to translate evaluation findings into actionable tickets.
  • Maintain clarity in product operations across tools like Linear, Notion, and Slack, ensuring visibility of priorities, blockers, and live work.
  • Partner with Customer Success to convert feedback, call transcripts, and support themes into well-structured product problems.
  • Feed evaluation data, issue trends, and customer insights into roadmap and prioritisation discussions.
  • Own features end-to-end, from problem definition and success criteria, through to delivery, validation, and iteration.
  • Write clear product documentation, including:
    • PRDs
    • Feature requirements
    • Success measurements
  • Launch new product modules (e.g., maintenance, prospects, compliance, arrears) to market.
  • Communicate product updates, features, and launches to internal teams and customers.
  • Leverage AI tools, LLMs, and agentic workflows to streamline:
    • Product operations
    • Decision-making
    • Execution speed
  • Bring pace, rigor, curiosity, and high ownership to a fast-paced early-stage environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
