Technical Product Manager (all genders)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Product Manager (all genders) based in United Kingdom.
Join a fast-growing digital product environment where you'll play a key role in shaping and optimizing a complex e-commerce ecosystem built around Shopify. This position combines operational ownership with strategic product planning, ensuring scalable, high-performing solutions that enhance the customer experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will evaluate technical opportunities, guide implementation decisions, and help prioritize initiatives that deliver meaningful business impact. This is an individual contributor role offering significant autonomy, collaboration, and the opportunity to influence both product direction and operational excellence in a fully remote setting across Europe.
Accountabilities
- Serve as the technical product expert for Shopify, evaluating implementation requests and determining the most appropriate solution using native functionality, third-party applications, or custom development.
- Oversee the operational understanding of the end-to-end e-commerce platform, ensuring seamless integration across systems such as ERP, customer service, subscriptions, analytics, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support operational processes, improve tracking capabilities, and ensure reliable platform performance.
- Drive customer-centric product decisions by balancing technical feasibility, user experience, and business priorities when defining solutions.
- Monitor website performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and recommend improvements through platform capabilities, automation tools, and workflow enhancements.
- Contribute to product roadmap planning by assessing stakeholder requests, challenging low-impact initiatives, and focusing development efforts on high-value opportunities.

Requirements
- Strong technical understanding of Shopify, including platform architecture, ecosystem capabilities, application integrations, and limitations, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams despite not being a developer.
- Experience working with complex e-commerce environments involving multiple integrated business systems and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Knowledge of web performance principles, including Lighthouse metrics, rendering performance, and optimization best practices.
- Practical experience using AI tools to improve day-to-day productivity, with familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as n8n considered an advantage.
- Understanding of data privacy, GDPR compliance, secure data handling, and related operational considerations.
- Excellent analytical thinking, ownership mindset, prioritization skills, and confidence to challenge assumptions while maintaining collaborative relationships.
- Fluent English communication skills; German is considered a plus.
