Technical Product Manager – Storage

Technical Product Manager – Storage (Cloud)

This position is based in the United Kingdom.

Our partner is seeking a Technical Product Manager specialising in cloud storage, focusing on AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and large-scale distributed systems.

About the Role

As a Technical Product Manager – Storage, you will shape, drive, and embody the vision, strategy, and roadmap for scalable cloud storage services. These systems power cutting-edge AI workloads and HPC environments, demanding relentless focus on performance, scalability, reliability, cost efficiency, and architecting for hyperscale.

You will:

  • Bridge the gap between engineering, architecture, and product strategy
  • Translate complex technical behaviour into clear priorities, trade-offs, and actionable roadmaps
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to define roadmaps, optimise performance, and shape ‘next-gen’ cloud infrastructure

This is a highly technical, hands-on leadership role with direct impact on how businesses innovate on AI/ML and HPC platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmapping & Backlog Ownership

    • Lead the roadmap and backlog for cloud storage offerings, including:
      • Block storage
      • File systems (parallel and POSIX-compliant)
      • Object storage
  • Storage System Innovation

    • Define and execute on durability, performance, scalability, availability, and cost optimisation initiatives
    • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design and refine data paths, consistency models, replication, and erasure-coding strategies
    • Drive trade-offs using quantitative data (targeting latency, throughput, IOPS, durability, and operational efficiency)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
