Technical Product Manager - WAN & Network Connectivity
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Product Manager - WAN & Network Connectivity based in United Kingdom.
This role sits at the heart of large-scale cloud infrastructure, defining how global regions, data centers, and customers are interconnected through high-performance networking systems. You will shape the vision and roadmap for WAN and underlay connectivity products that power next-generation AI and cloud workloads. Working closely with senior network engineers and cross-functional teams, you will translate complex networking capabilities into scalable, reliable, and customer-facing services. The environment is highly technical, fast-moving, and deeply collaborative, with strong exposure to architecture, capacity planning, and service design. Your decisions will directly influence latency, throughput, and reliability across a global AI cloud platform. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of networking engineering and product strategy.
Accountabilities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog for WAN and underlay networking services, including backbone, interconnects, peering, and transport systems.
- Define and drive the roadmap for inter-region, inter-data-center, and cross-cloud connectivity, ensuring scalable and efficient network expansion.
- Translate complex network engineering capabilities into product requirements for connectivity services, including bandwidth tiers, QoS, traffic engineering, and Direct Connect-style offerings.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams on routing, transport, and capacity design (including congestion control, path selection, and SLA definition).
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across engineering, infrastructure, product marketing, and go-to-market teams to deliver connectivity solutions.
- Ensure WAN services meet strict standards for latency, throughput, availability, reliability, and security across global deployments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
