Job Opportunity: Technical Product Operations Manager at Joybuy

JD.com is seeking an experienced Technical Product Operations Manager to join our growing technical team at Joybuy (https://www.joybuy.com/). Joybuy is JD.com’s European full-category online retail brand designed to bring customers a faster, more convenient, and cost-effective shopping experience. Offering same-day and next-day delivery across the UK, Joybuy combines speed, reliability, and affordability to meet the needs of modern shoppers.

In this role, you will partner with product development teams to translate business requirements and user insights into actionable product roadmaps, ensuring timely execution. By establishing data-driven metrics to monitor performance, optimising features, and leveraging both internal and external resources to design marketing strategies, you will drive user acquisition and product-market reach, ultimately achieving business goals through superior user experience and market competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle by aligning business strategies, user needs, and market trends.
  • Partner with product development teams to translate business requirements and user insights into actionable product roadmaps, ensuring timely execution.
  • Dive into business scenarios to collect and analyse user needs and pain points.
  • Collaborate with product and R&D teams to develop optimisation or iteration plans.
  • Document requirements, clarify product functions and goals, and ensure solutions meet business needs and user expectations.
  • Establish data-driven metrics to monitor product performance, conduct analysis, and drive continuous feature optimisation to enhance service delivery.
  • Leverage both internal and external resources to design and execute marketing and go-to-market strategies that drive user acquisition and expand product-market reach across European markets.
  • Drive product localisation strategy, from translation quality and cultural adaptation to region-specific feature prioritisation and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, design, marketing, merchant operations, and customer service teams across London and Beijing to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
  • Work onsite in London, Dusseldorf, or Rotterdam.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product operations, program management, or product management in e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer internet.
  • Proven experience working in or with European markets, with a strong understanding of local consumer behaviour and market dynamics.
  • Data-savvy, comfortable with SQL, Excel, data visualisation tools, and making data-backed recommendations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English (native or professional proficiency).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in cross-border e-commerce or global marketplace platforms.
  • Familiarity with product management frameworks (user stories, PRDs, A/B testing, release management).
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation with distributed teams across time zones.
  • Multilingual (French, German, Dutch, or other European language) is a plus.
  • Experience with localisation tools (e.g. Lokalise, Crowdin) and content management systems.
  • Chinese language ability is a strong plus for cross-team collaboration with Beijing HQ.
