About the Role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and technically minded Technical Product Support Specialist to join the JCB World Parts Centre, specialising in OEM Engines and Generator products. You will be integral to supporting:
- Product quality
- Customer satisfaction
- Continuous operational improvement across parts operations
In this role, you’ll serve as the primary technical liaison for external queries, troubleshooting machine-related technical concerns. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Gathering and documenting customer feedback on emerging product issues
- Reporting these concerns to factory teams to drive process betterments
- Proactively ensuring JCB’s technical literature remains updated and accurate
- Supporting new product launches through technical feedback collection
Working collaboratively across functions, you’ll champion JCB’s exceptional standards by fostering strong relationships with customers, engineering teams, and OEM distributors. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mind, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Provide industry-leading support to JCB Dealers, Subsidiaries and OEM Distributors via JCB’s Techweb system
- Use cross-JCB business resources to achieve first-time fixes in timely cycles

Proactive Improvements:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate JCB technical documentation and knowledge
- Author Technical Bulletins to communicate field-related fixes for emerging product concerns

Product Development Assistance:
- Engage with new product launches by providing customer insights
- Support machine appraisals, technical literature preparation
- Verify diagnostic tools’ compatibility and technical literature accuracy
- Gather early feedback on potential technical issues via diagnostic help channels

Stakeholder and Technical Engagement:
- Collaborate with the internal OEM team and act as the JCB Service representative for distributors/customers
- Support in-person service reviews and conduct technical investigations
- Foster relationships with technical service contacts within JCB Dealers, subsidiaries, and key distributors

✔ You hold an engineering qualification (HNC/HND/degree or equivalent) or have equivalent hands-on experience with stellar technical aptitude.
✔ You possess a strong analytical mindset, interpreting data to align with effective business decisions.

✔ Clear, diplomatic communication—both written and verbal—that bridges different functions and stakeholders seamlessly.

✔ Skilled in workload management, prioritisation, and systemic organisation.

✔ A proactive attitude, with a dedication to exceptional customer service as a requisite.
✔ Prior experience with Power Generation or modern combustion engine technology (e.g. business vehicle tech).
➕ Familiarity with JCB products (advantageous but not mandatory).
