Job title: Technical Programme Manager
Duration: Contract
Location: London is first preference, second preference is Watermark
Summary:
A Technical Programme Manager leads the delivery of large, complex, cross-functional programmes within the Global Product Experience Engineering (GPXE) organisation. They own end-to-end delivery across multiple teams, translating ambiguity into clear plans, risks, and execution frameworks. They ensure programmes are well-defined, aligned to business goals, and delivered on time against critical milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Leadership & Delivery
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery of large, complex programmes with multiple workstreams, dependencies, and senior stakeholders
- Translate ambiguous requirements into clear scope, plans, risks, and execution frameworks. Develop and maintain robust programme plans aligned to engineering capacity and delivery milestones. Ensure delivery remains aligned to business goals, timelines, and quality expectations
Execution & Operational Excellence:
- Proactively identify, manage, and resolve complex cross-team dependencies to avoid delivery risk. Drive timelines and hold teams accountable to agreed outcomes and milestones

Stakeholder Management & Alignment:
- Build strong relationships across Engineering, Product, Architecture, Design, and external partners.
Risk, Issue & Decision Management:
- Identify risks early and manage them proactively with clear mitigation strategies. Escalate effectively, and propose solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience leading delivery of large-scale, complex technology programmes across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently at senior level, owning end-to-end delivery and driving outcomes in ambiguous environments
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and engineering delivery practices
- Experience working with distributed teams across multiple territories and time zones, driving alignment and delivery across regional boundaries
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leadership
- Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making capability
- Ability to translate complex technical and organisational challenges into clear plans, risks, and actions

Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in media, streaming, or large-scale consumer platforms
- Experience working in global or multi-market organisations
- Familiarity with agile and iterative delivery approaches
- Relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, Agile) or equivalent practical experience
