Specialty Technology Lead

[About the Role] Marsh is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser, specialising in the UK Specialty business—handling some of the most complex, high-value, global risks across aviation, marine, energy, financial lines, and other specialty classes through the London Market, Lloyd’s, and international markets. In this field, technology and data-driven capabilities are critical competitive differentiators.

We are establishing the Office of the UK CIO—a new strategfulity technology leadership team—redesigning how technology is designed, delivered, and experienced in Marsh UK. This focus shifts technology from a cost-centre to a strategic driver, prioritising outcome-driven product management over project delivery.

In this role, you will be the strategic technology partner to our Specialty business, taking responsibility for the end-to-end technology relationship, roadmap alignment, and ensuring impactful, commercially meaningful outcomes for one of Marsh’s most successful business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the strategic technology leader for the Specialty business, coordinating the relationship with leadership.
  • Define and own the technology roadmap—aligning UK initiatives with Marsh’s global technology vision.
  • Drive innovation through technologie, such as:
    • AI-enabled risk analytics
    • Smarter underwriting tooling
    • Automated placement processes
  • Ensure end-to-end accountability for delivery, tracking benefit realisation and measureable business impact across all operated initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
