Strategic Technical Programme Manager (S/4HANA)
Join a leading global consultancy that partners with some of the world's most recognisable organisations to deliver complex transformation programmes that create real business value.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a major retail ERP transformation, ensuring a successful delivery from planning through to go-live.
Role Overview
- Location: Central London/Hybrid (2 days per week)
- Contract Length: 6 months initially with scope for extension
- Day Rate: £600- £700 per day Inside IR35
- Industry: Consulting / Retail / Digital Transformation
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale S/4HANA transformation programme across multiple work streams.
- Establish programme governance, reporting frameworks and effective ways of working.
- Coordinate technical and business teams to keep delivery aligned, integrated and on track.
- Manage programme dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Oversee business readiness activities, ensuring stakeholders are prepared for change at every level.
- Own cutover planning and execution, driving a smooth and successful go-live.
- Provide clear, transparent programme updates to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Champion quality standards and ensure delivery remains aligned to strategic objectives.
- Drive organisational change and adoption throughout the transformation journey.

Main Skills Needed
- Proven experience leading SAP S/4 HANA Implementations within an enterprise organisation is essential.
- Excellent programme management expertise, including governance, risk management and delivery frameworks.
- Experience managing multiple technical and business workstreams within complex environments.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how technology programmes deliver business value.
- Excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident leader who can build alignment and drive outcomes without direct authority.
